Stolperstein, Stumbling Stones

Memorial brass plates, or Stolperstein, inscribed with the name and life dates of victims of Nazi extermination. The stones indicate the last known place of residence or work place of Holocaust victims. As of October, 2018 over 70,000 Stolperstein have been laid by German artist Gunter Demnig.
